I guess not really but we spend a lot alot of time on our appearances. It doesn't make sense.

I wish the answer was "no" but in our society, looks really make a difference. Statistics have shown that taller, more athletic & handsome men get hired more frequently and make more money; slender, tall and pretty women are often preferred as well. This discrepancy only increases as media in our society becomes more and more focused on looks. In my own life, I have noticed that I get treated differently based on what I'm wearing, if my hair is done and if I am wearing makeup. Looks shouldn't matter but they do.

LOOKS matter as well as don't matter in ones life. let me explain- no matter how ugly a person is but if he/she has a good nature, is courteous, polite, respects elders, has good manners, has a positive attitude towards life, is talented,etc then looks don't matter for him/her coz its already present in him/her in the form of nature and other qualities. on the other hand if a person has very great looks but no inner qualities then his life is not worth living. To sum up, i would say that make your inner self beautiful coz looks will fade wen u grow old but inner beauty will remain forever.

As shallow as this may sound.... yes, looks matter. And not just to the opposite sex, but to the same sex, and employers, and clients, and neighbors ect.... It is human nature to look and make an assumption about someone just with a split second glance.

yes . yes and yes 70% of all first impressions are made on looks alone . the other percent go to charm, perseverence, your workability , etc . most of the time your goods qualities shadow under your looks . But that never make me stop trying !

No!!!! looks don't matter at all....if u r well dressed , well mannered n above all if u hav self confidence (n will power tooo), Nothing else really matters.

Yes, think about it, would you date someone that Larry the Cable Guy describes? We all go by looks. It's just some go to the extremes.

Unfortunately, yes. It has been proven that pretty people get better jobs, have more friends, etc. Even though we are taught to "never judge a book by its cover", we do.

you shouldn't really worry about looks coz we are all made in the image of God, looks do affect each and every individual but it shouldn't be something that really stresses you
