Here is an easy home remedy...Because most regular wash cloths and things like that will scratch the LCD screen..
So what you should do, is take a clean sock, turn it inside out and then get it damp...Gently wipe the screen...
Glass cleaner like Windex is ok, but do not use any one with Ammonia in it, as it will destroy the screen most likely...
And they sell the wipes at Wal-Mart as well, They are usually called Anti-Static Cleaning Wipes...

1. Turn off the monitor and remove the power plug.
2. Soak a soft gauze cloth with isopropyl alcohol or ethyl alcohol diluted with water (1:1) and gently wipe the surface of the monitor. Do not dust it or wipe it with a cloth dampened with pure water.
3. Dry with a clean, soft cloth.
CAUTION: Never use pure water to clean the LCD screen. Do not use cleaning solutions containing flouride, acids, or alkalis. Do not use ketone substances such as acetone or solvents such as xylene or toluene to clean the monitor. Do not use benzene, thinner, ammonia, or any volatile substance to clean the monitor's screen or cabinet. These chemicals may damage the monitor.
Hope this helps!!

Your manual will give you specific instructions for cleaning the screen. When I would clean the one at the office I used window cleaner applied to the soft cloth and wiped the screen. I did not spray the screen then wipe.

Use a glass cleaner w/o ammonia. Do not use those wipes, as they will leave a film. To keep from getting the prints, never touch your screen. The oils in your fingers can damage the screen.

Any slightly damp cloth will do. You can go fork over $ for the special wipes. But eh.... Just get any washcloth or papertowel that is slightly damp. Whatever you do, dont use Windex, or any cleaners.

I usually take a soft cloth & get it wet w. glass cleaner. . . . gently rub the screen down. Most prints will come off very easily . . . but it they dont use your fingernail to scratch them lightly. Good luck & keep the kids off your machine.
