So you're sitting in the living room with your boyfriend, his sister, his nephew(the Child) and the nephews greataunt. The child keeps playing with you (even though you've told him to stop a couple times). so finally the child picks up a chair (plastic kids chair) and Says " I'mma hit you with this chair!"
Your response "And I will whoop your ***!"
Was i wrong even though there were 3 adults who should and could have intervened before it got to this point.

Yes, you should have done exactly what you did. The three other adults did nothing to stop the child's bad behavior, I feel you were perfectly justified in letting the child know that if they do something wrong there are consequences. If the child does not learn this now when they are young they will think they are doing nothing wrong and blame their "childhood" when they get older and get into trouble.

Your reaction was natural but your response was dead wrong. You should never tell a child that's not yours that you're going to whoop their _ss. You turn to the mama and say if he hits me, I'm hitting you. That will get the appropriate adult involved since she seemed to be blind and deaf to the fact that her kid was getting on your damn nerves. That's how I handle my sister's kids. My niece hit me in the face one time, my sister didn't open her mouth. So I got up and slapped the sh_t out of her. She was so surprised and before she could get up to retaliate, I told her " you let your child slap me so I'm passing it on to you". She left and took her kids with her which was just fine with me. Try it. It works.

Some children take advantage of good natured people. because you were nice the first few times, it was like he did not believe you until you became angry. Hmmmmmmmmm...... mother was in the room and did reprimand child for threat? Bad mother!

Warranted! but I don't consider a$$ a cuss word. Exactly what the kid will experience when he pulls this crap with kids on the playground. Time outs usually don't work. My daughter loved time outs.

You were absoulty wrong. There is no cirumstance where it is OK to cuss at a child. You could have told him to quit without the profanity.
