Because it works for them.
Others should tell them to take a long walk off a short pier.
That is the voice of 20 years of experience with a sociopath.

Oh boy!! I met this guy recently that really did this. He was all over the place and seemed to love twisting my words around until it appeared I was attacking him or saying something I obviously didnt mean. It was exhausting and extremely insulting. He admitted he has ADHD, but Im sorry, he obviously doesnt have a good enough grip on it yet. I may sound less than compassionate, but he is a grown man and should act accordingly. I am avoiding him at all costs. They people are dangerous...and look for elevating confrontation and it may very well lead to physical and/or severe emotional abuse. Life is too short, BAILLLLL...RUN LIKE THE WIND!!! Oh, and I am not saying all people like this have ADHD, Im just saying that this individual tried to use that as an excuse for his behavior. Sorry, not buying it!!!!!!!!

Three step programs.
First step: Agree with them, in a low voice. Let them know you are afraid. This will build respect and compassion....
Source: primal urges to feel as part of a community. Humans and dogs bear their teeth as a sign of not wanting to fight, but will protect themselves. Smiling is a sign of strength and connection.
Second step: Laugh with them, only after you have their attention. Let them know you understand their logic. Make them laugh and you create a connection.
Source: Laughter is the best medicine. Not only will laughing with them create an us verses them connection, it will also open up the other persons mind to possibilities.
Third Step: Tease them. Let them know you are no longer afraid. Let them know you know there is more logic than they can see. This will create a connection.
Source: Leadership theory follows that a leader maintains the logical process of a group. By allowing the members of a group to become frustrated and leading them back to a logical conclusion a leader gains respect. This is a primal trait of humans, as children explore they always look towards an alpha member of a group for guidance.

well everyone gets angry every now-and-again. If you get angry more often than not then you have anger management issues that you should seek help for and the ppl around you should try to help as much as possible.
If it gets worst I would get out of that situation.....angry ppl suck. I hate drama.

They think it makes them look tough and they want the attention. I have known people like this. I just "kill them with kindness". I don't act fake or anything, I am polite and don't let them get to me. Why should I waste my time on their bad mood and attitude?

It depends on whether or not they like to get physical when they get angry. I would confront them if they don't and avoid them if they do.

They want attention and they want to get rid of their frustration through you. Just ignore them. If you give them attention their behavior pays off. I know a girl who's like that and her and me get along just fine since i started to ignore her completely.

Some people are just drama queens. If they are always negative, I would avoid them. Life has enough hassle going on.
