Wow, I have no idea what you are saying.
Did you lose your ID in Cancun or before going there? What place didn't ask for proof? Who are "them"? Did they reissue your ID?
Maybe next time you should actually preview your question so you don't come across as an illiterate.

More than freaky. It's worse than a scary movie. Identity theft is growing rapidly. You have to be careful everywhere.
I wonder why they didn't ask for proof of who you are. That is strange. I am asked for my driver's license when I pick up my medicine or cashing a check. Or anything that involves in proving who I am. Even at the library with my card, my picture is on file to prove who I am.
I hope that you called the Social Security office in your area, I think that is where my daughter had to go file an Identity thief report.

That's really scary! Good luck! I hope no one steals your identity or racks up major credit card debt from your lost records (BC and SS)! You should check your credit every now and then and possibly have a watch put on your name. My husband had to do that because someone filled out a cc offer sent to an old apartment and ruined his credit rating for a while.

What place did you go to? I work for the Driver license division in Utah, and we require proof up the wazoo to get a duplicate license. That is super scary.
Good that you got your ID tho.... I think?

Define "the place"
And you lost it "cause we're going to Cancun"? I really would need a much better reason to lose mine, like a fire or flood.

it happens.
but did you go someplace like where you live (your city or state) and tell them you've lost your information and have it recovered or replaced?
if you lose your SS information you really should have another number assigned to you.
it really is worth all that trouble.
AS you see.
:D
