can you use any headset for yahoo in and out services?

i see all sorts of headsets on ebay, and dont know where to start. i would like to have a wireless one so not to be confined to the computer, but i see some that have VOIP (voice over internet protocol) do i HAVE to have one of those to use to chat on the computer? or would any headset with mic work. and whats the difference

VOIP is only used to make calls to telephones over the Internet. Since you'll be using Yahoo!'s service, it shouldn't be necessary. So pretty much any headset with a mic will work.
