They have just discovered that the human brain, (men and women) reaches maturity at around age 25. So the fact that you are noticing when people say you are a kid, is probably a reflection of your perception that you aren't quite there yet! People say a lot of things...the tongue is the hardest thing to tame. We as people talk constantly and therefore hear many things in any given day....take it in as much as you want it comes down to perspective. Once you realize that people are only able to speak from they're own reference point you will realize anything they say is more about their opinion than you personally.I just turned 30 and wow, I hope I'm still closer to being a kid!! I have also been a deep thinker all of my life and it is seldom an older person can take the time to understand the meaning behind a younger persons point of view...saying things like...'you don't know, your still a kid'...some truth to it, unless you have personal experience that only comes with time you may only be able to theorize about KNOWING. So to it applies to life issues.....things we perceive as children are so much further reaching when we consider the complexities of adult perception, and the amount of people a situation affects. Children perceive things as how they affect them personally, once you mature you begin to view interaction in a multi faceted way and therefore you have the informed advantage and understanding to nurture true forgiveness.

While at 20 you are technically an adult, the folks you hang around with and generally use to compare yourself against are most likely close to the same age. However, if you look at the adult population at large, most of them are more than twice your age. They have been holding down jobs and raising families since you were potty training. No disrespect intended, but from the majority of the adult population's perspective you are still a "kid".

Cause you are to them. Take a 45 year old man....that has a family....you still single and or maybe have a gf but no kids. Until you have kids of your own and are over 25 people will stop calling you one.

Because 20 is still a kid. You wont really understand or except it until you get older. Then you will look back and realize you really were still a kid.

depends on the person. most people call those younger then them by more then a few years kid. its a term of affection towards those that are younger then them. some also do it just for a joke to see how the person reacts to it.

You won't mind when you get aliittle older. you'll be begging someone to call you kid. If it really bothers you, then try a makeover, like change you hair or something. that's what I do when I want to look younger
