if you hang them up or fold them properly while the are still warm sometimes they will need little or no ironing at all depending on the fabric. otherwise you can iron them whenever you want. hopefully
you don't let the unironed stack pile around more than a day.

its like my grannies dish towels say wash on Monday , iron on Tuesday, shop on Wednesday etc. etc.

I think it's easier to iron them shortly out of the dryer, but of course, that never happens. So what I do instead is designate a special spot for unironed clothes, and I hang up the stuff that needs ironing. If you just throw it in a pile on the floor, boy, does that turn into a job and a half!

ironing them right when they get out of the dryer is the easiest because the longer you wait, the more wrinkles develop
