Don't we all want peace ? But wanting is not enough. I never wanted to kill people, but had to when Hitler attempted to take over the world, and hold it under the German fist.
None of us who were in Hawaii before the Japs bombed had any desire to harm anyone. When the bombs started falling, and the planes straffed everything and everybody our minds changed rapidly.
Oh yes, in both places my friends and I were already dressed for battle. That doesn't mean we were eager to kill.
I'm sure all you want is more than peace. How about freedom ? Are you ready and willing to fight for your freedom ?If you're a real man, you'll be ready to dress for battle.

Peace is a wonderful, rare thing...though there are just some things that need to be defended and fought for. I'm reminded of a John Stewart Mill quote.

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse."

I think the first responder hit it more clearly on the head then I did though.....

The ancient Greeks believed in this motto: Let those who want peace prepare for war.
What are you doing about preserving peace?
