Legal way to convert protected m4v itunes video?

Question

I want to convert the files to any unprotected format: mov, rm, vob, wmv, mpg, avi, mp2, mp4, m4v even, just get them unprotected! I have a legal right to put my videos on DVD, but i don't know how. Screen recorders make it too choppy. Tunebite Video mutilated the quality. Burning to DVD only makes them as data files, so they won't play! What do i do?

i use winmpg converter and have no problems
