I smoked for 7 years before I quit. I don't remember ever smelling of smoke, but I took serious care into it. I only smoked outside, I would put my hair up, and make sure to keep the cigarette and smoke away from my clothing as well. I would chew a lot of gum or use mouthwash, and put on lotion and perfume. The reason I was so compulsive about the smell, was that I worked in a dry cleaners during the time that I smoked and some of the customers clothing would be so saturated with smoke, it would make me almost get sick. Try some of the things that I used to. They worked for me well enough. But if this is someone that you plan on seeing long term, I would just tell them. It is your decision to smoke, and they have to except that. Or, you could just quit. And believe me...I know how hard that is. Good luck whatever choice you make.

This is NOT intended to be a rude remark. It is the truth. I am a former smoker, and once you quit smoking you can smell cigarette smoke on a smoker immediately. There is simply no way to mask it. The best thing you can do is delay smoking until after you've been with that person.

I would start by smoking in a VERY ventilated area. Use mouthwash, gum and perfume. But, if it already in your clothes and car, you won't be able to get rid of it. I am a non-smoker, but my husband just quit after 15 YEARS. He never smelled like smoke except for his breath because he only smoked outside. Never in the car or house.

I do not smoke but my mother does. You are going to have to wash everything (clothes, drapes, sheets, etc). You will also need to stop smoking inside. Everytime you smoke you should use a mint afterward. It will take a wile to get rid of the smell. Alter I had moved out of my mom's house I had to wash all my clothes a quite a few times before getting rid of the oder.

I would recommend trying the air freshener sprays made just for cigarette smoke. They sell it at wal-mart and at auto stores for your car. It also comes in candle form. As for yourself, everyone is right about febreeze. A little extra help i learned from a nurse is to use lotion on your hands and around your mouth after smoking. Then rub your hands through your hair when lotion is almost all dry. Even in the hospital, you couldnt smell smoke on her. She uses the cherry-almond lotion again from wal-mart. Hope this helps :P

Almost impossible but a travel size febreeze spray works for me. If you can hold your smoke as far away from your body as you can and blow right before you take a drag it will help, you will look like a idiot though. My friend use to do this as a kid so dont do it, I just had to say it. Carry gum as all times and wash hands with scented soap.

It's pretty hard to. People who don't smoke are sensitive to the smell. They can smell it several yards away.

I use Febreeze on my clothes and that works pretty well. As far as your hair, you pretty much have to wash it to get the smell out. Or use a strong smelling cheap hairspray, but that may be worse.

I always smoke outside. No need for everything to smell like smoke. Also brush your teeth, and chewing gum works great to hide the smell on your breath.

Oh, I forgot wash your hands also.

I'm assuming you mean the smell of smoke. The best remedy is not smoking. Other than that you might try febreeze.
