TOTALLY 100% agree with you - I have never "got" that crap music either, it lacks melody, is usually quite negative and the music completely sucks - It's taking over every music channel too...I hope it dies like disco did in the 1980s only this time never gets brought back by madonna...

People like the mixture of the rhythm and blues the music blends together with hip hop that gives it flavor. RnB is an age old music style that has been used to express emotions an artist was experiencing. Combined that with hip hop you have music styles you can sway too and fro with. Something you can relate too when your in love, heart broken, happy, sad, poor, rich, etc. Take Luther Vandross for instance. That man is a lyrical genious. Try listen to one of his songs your sure to get the meaning of hip hip and RnB then.

Every generation has its own music that no-one else understands. This was as true of Mozart as it is of RnB. Just don't worry about it, something else will come along and make hip hop/RnB seem quite musical.

it's good club music. but ur right, the term "music" and "hip hop/RnB" really cant be used in the same sent. unless this sent. "hip hop/RnB is NOT music" its cool to listen too no doubt, and its good for dances and clubs and stuff, but it really isn't music, because music involves mathmetical equations, talent, knowledge of history, style, tone, dynamics, theory, and sooo much more.

I never really pay attention to lyrics, they are difficult to follow and sometimes too metaphorical to understand. Most of this kind of music sounds the same to me, but if I'm dancing, the attitude and the rythm and tempo, really get my adrenaline going.

Its fine to miss the plot... I'm not really into that sort of music... it certainly doesnt make for friendly atmosphere's if its played in late night venues... too much attitude...

Each to their own but stick to what you like.....

well I'm stumped! no idea, I really don't know what's to like! It's bloody awful! here's nothing cool (IMO) about singing about how many girls you've f***ed, or how you think youre the best. It's not even music! it's noise! Gimme some rock anyday.
