Jesus and Mary Magdalene had a child, and that child is the progenitor of the "Holy Grail", the bloodline of Jesus.
"According to the Catholic Encyclopedia, after the cycle of Grail romances was well established, late medieval writers came up with a false etymology for sangreal an alternate name for "Holy Grail". In Old French, san graal or san greal means "Holy Grail" and sang real means "royal blood"; later writers played on this pun. Since then, "Sangreal" is sometimes employed to lend a medievalizing air in referring to the Holy Grail. This connection with royal blood bore fruit in a modern best-seller linking many historical conspiracies."

Also, another message is that a special branch of the Catholic Church, "Opus Dei" knows this "secret" and will kill to prevent its becoming publicised.

The Da Vinci Code is fiction, not a factual book. It is however based on a book called The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail, which is factual, some research by Michael Baigent suggesting that Jesus was married and had children. However the evidence for this is very weak indeed compared to the traditional beliefs, which are evidenced by the four gospel writers, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, and others who were alive at the time of Jesus and knew him personally.

The big excitement about the Da Vinci Code is that it goes against popular traditional beliefs, but when you get under the surface you realise that it is a load of hogwash.

It's just an enjoyable work of fiction - there's no message but as soon as religion is involved then people go crazy. Basically, the book is about the blood line of Christ and claims that he and Mary Magdalene had a child. It is a fiction book though, and doesn't claim to be anything else

an rather good artwork by technique of the author and badly presented by technique of the director. Tom hanks did a great artwork throughout the time of the action picture inspite of the undeniable fact that the exhilaration even as studying the e book won't be able to be done. yet few action sequences which won't be able to be felt even as studying might want to be felt even as gazing the action picture. you may want to also agree that it grow to be between the suited options to make funds by skill of controversies. inspite of the undeniable fact that the climax of the action picture explains no matter if it truly is actual or no longer-that each thing is in uncomplicated words faith and u can both beleive it or ignore about it.

There is no message. For some reason the media is talking about it as though the author is claiming that his plot is factual. Dan Brown's not the best writer but he can tell a very exciting adventure story.

For the love of all that is holy, STOP LOOKING FOR A MESSEGE!!! There's as much of a messege in the "Code" as there is in Harry Potter och Sherlok Holmes: it's a dedective story with a twist, that's it. Stop looking for facts, truths, messeges, revelations, it's just popular literature. Want messeges? Go read Hemingway and Tolstoy.

There is no message. So many people get caught up in the story that they forget that it is just that: a story! A superb piece of fiction which has taken a lot of myths, rumours and ideas and cleverly woven them together.
