I'm having my doubts that this guy John Mark Karr killed her but I still don't believe her parents did either. If what he says is true that it was an accident, why didn't he come out earlier? He might have gotten manslaughter instead of murder. Either it's worse than previously thought or he didn't do it.
The only responsibilty I see that her parents had in her death was putting her through all those beauty pagents. If this John Karr guy is the perp, he probably saw her at a beauty pagent and then stalked her before killing her.
I don't think her parents killed her. They just don't fit the bill of murderous parents. They have no motive and no means of gaining anything from her death. Plus her dad had lost a child from a previous marriage a few years prior to JonBenet dying.
What do you think about this latest revelation? Do you think John Mark Karr killed her? And why confess to it now?

Just in case people are wondering. JonBenet's half sister died in a car accident a few years before she did.

I don't think he killed her, I think he is a sicko that is looking for some kind of glory.

Well, as everyone knows, the DNA test will prove conclusively whether Karr was with JonBenet at the time of her death or not. He is obviously mentally unhinged, and his confession perhaps is a way of his drawing attention to the fact that he may have committed a crime or crimes that he had gotten away with many years earlier. Whether or not it was JonBenet we will find out soon enough. I would say this though, it seems pretty unlikely that he did - based on what I've read, it does seem improbable that this psycho would have been able to afford to travel all the way from Alabama to Colorado and back in a couple of days around the Christmas hols. On why the Ramseys looked so guilty...well think about it. Patsy must have lived with the knowledge that by putting JonBenet through all those tacky pageants she exposed her daughter to thousands of strangers, one of which may have been a pedophile. Statistics show that nearly all raped or murdered victims may have been known to their assailant. The Ramseys would have been made aware of this in the days and years after the murder. So yes, they looked guilty. They probably blamed themselves, even if they did'nt actually kill her her themselves. Why did they maintain their innocence, then? They had other children to think of, and to make up to. I pray that John Karr is the killer, so the nightmare for the Ramseys will finally end, and they can go on with their lives. They need closure. We all do.

actually it's all pretty simple. Of course he couldn't come out earlier coz he was in somebody's house with bad motives! So he probably won't be charged only with manslaugther...but with first degree murder! At first i thought the parents did it due to some inconsistency with their testimonies. But then now I really think the karr guy did it! He didn't confess...he was playing with fire thinking he could get away with the emails etc. He was bored and maybe doing this brought him some excitement. He set his own trap for himself...stupid.he thought hey i got away for 10 years already the police can't catch me!I'm in asia!no way i'll get caught. So when he was arrested he just told the truth coz he couldn't deny anymore.coz how did he know certain details about the murder that was never released to the public??he must have been there to know it!also who knows the unidentified DNA was linked to him? Most prob. there was DNA evidence or else they wouldn't be sooooooooo sure and make an arrest to the other side of the world,THAILAND!! Karr really thought he loved Jonbenet, wanted to keep her, not kidnap her for money.maybe he wanted her to be his pretty little wife?who knows?like the girl in the box thing perhaps??So he had no intention to return her that's why he made that stupid ransom note.he said he loved her that's why he keep her body wrapped in her blankie and left her indoors...the police thought it was mostly a parent's gesture.Well let's see what's gonna happen!!

I do think John Karr did do this crime. I really believe that the Police in Boulder Colorodo
would not have gone through this arrest if they did not have more evidence that the Public is unaware of. Don't forget you have 4 years of emails from John Karr to a University Professor that only the police would know in the case files.

I think the Police in Boulder do have evidence that they will not release. Also Patsy's sister made comments about this being a good Day and justice will be served. I think the Ramseys would not suffer through fasle hope. I think they have their guy

This guy is a sicko-

I do not think the Ramsey killed their daughter in the way Jon Benet was murdered-

I don't think Karr is the guy. I think he is a sick pedophile who has probably hurt many, many children in many countries. But I think he only fantasizes about JonBenet. It just doesn't fit. I think they were investigating him and felt compelled to arrest him to get him back to the States to face other stuff before he molested more kids in his "teaching" overseas.

Since you know about the 1/2 sister's death...what do you know about the 1/2 brother? Wasn't he home for Christmas? Wouldn't he have a motive? What if there was incest going on? What if he were jealous of their extravagent lifestyle and knew about the $118,000 bonus and had a bad idea of the kidnapping turn awry and end up killing her when she failed to "cooperate?" Did they ever collect DNA from mom, dad, sibling and 1/2 sibling?

It's pityful that a child that age had to die so young, no doubt her murderer will be put to justice. But her case really raises alot of questions and issues we should ponder about. Why in the first place would parents want to place their child in such limelight at such a tender age by enrolling her in beauty pageants and contests? We live in a superficial world as it is, and no doubt, sooner or later, as children grow into adults, they will be exposed to the big bad world of superficiality. But the foundation years are important so why expose an innocent child to such limelight at a tender age? To add to it, if you have seen all those pictures of JonBenet and videos too, you will notice that many times, she was dressed seductively (mini skirts, bright red lipstick, etc.), she looked almost adult. In a sick world like ours, we have to be more careful and we should ponder over the issues of where to cross the line with kids. For us sane people, we cannot even begin to imagine what goes through the minds of phedophiles, murderers, rapists and all sorts of other criminals. So the least we can do is to try at least, not to do anything to encourage them. At the end of the day, JonBenet was just a child. Had she been away from the negative limelight of the media in the first place, none of these would have happened. Parents of a cute or pretty child have the right to be proud of them, but is this the way? Had JonBenet lived to see today, I wonder what she would have grown up to be, since her life (career path) had already been decided by her parents from the time she was a toddler - to be a part of the media limelight. I wonder what sort of young lady she would have grown up to be. What happened to that child was unfathomable. Alas, many other kids are being raped and murdered worldwide, most of them have had it even worse than JonBenet. The main reason why so many people cried the day that little girl died was because of her popularity and the fact that she was indeed a pretty little thing. The world needs to understand though, especially parents, that they can do and make efforts to protect their little ones. For starters, let them live their childhood the way they should - by being children. Not by being surrounded by cameras, wearing bright lipstick and strutting around in mini skirts. The world needs to re-think their ways, not cry when something happens. I'll pray for JonBenet's soul, that she will rest in peace and that God will forgive her murderer too, we're all sinners with the capacity to repent and forgive. Alas, I pray that parents will learn to be parents and do their job. Children are innocent, let them be innocent and protect them for as long as you can. Someday, they'll grow and see the world, but let them be kids while they still are.

No. Just because this guy is confessing to parts of a crime doesn't mean the Ramsey's are innocent. They did give his name as a suspect early on. What if he was a friend and they knew he had a history of child porn? And they still let him in their house and he then killed their daughter?
His arrest doesn't automatically prove their innocence.

Ya, this is crazy but its about time something happened in this case. Almost everybody thought the parents did it and I think most people thought this because they were rich(rich people suck) and it all happened in the home. Some cop states that this guy knows info that is not public so I have hope. If he is guilty and they convict I hope he gets torn apart in prison, what a cutie she was.

i dont really care. this has been going on for years. besides why are people so focused on a 10 year old case when they could be focusing on new cases that happen daily.you dont see the average people on the news for 10 years on and off. they say oh well we cant find this person murderer (the average person),guess we have to close the case.besides if you dress your LITTLE daughter up like a little hooker than some sick person is going to look at her like that and try to take atvantage of a small inasint girl.

I think we don't know all the facts. And as guilty as her parents looked to me and the apparent majority of the nation, it really scared me to think how easy it is to villify people when we just don't know all the facts. If the Ramsey's were innocent, the media of this country ruined their lives. It could happen to any of us...

By the lastest revelation, I thought you were referring to Karr's ex-wife proclaiming they were in Alabama at the time of the killing.
HE DID'NT DO IT, PEOPLE, HE JUST WANTS ATTENTION.
