I don't think all music has been going downhill since '74 - just what seems to be popular and get the most attention. There is still good music around today - the bands are just fewer and far between. As I have said before.... Music used to be about art and expression. Now, it's mostly about image and fashion. Sad, isn't it?

1. Rush - "Hemispheres" (1978)
2. Genesis - "Nursury Cryme" (1971)
3. Yes - "Close To The Edge" (1972)
4. Rush - "Permanent Waves" (1980)
5. Genesis - "Foxtrot" (1972)
6. Frank Zappa - "Ship Arriving Too Late..." (1982)
7. The Flower Kings - "Stardust We Are" (1997)
8. Utopia - "RA" (1977)
9. Steve Vai - "Fire Garden" (1996)
10. Joe Satriani - "Strange Beautiful Music" (2002)

I actually have got here across that maximum cutting-aspect rock artists are not great in any respect. in fact, that's why, instead of sticking to rock, i began listening to us of a. I recommend, Brad Paisley is between the suited guitarists alive (verify him out, in case you've not already). for sure, each era of song, no remember how undesirable, does frequently have some skills hidden someplace. For 80's metal, there grow to be Cinderella and intensely some others. MQ: Grudge died speedier...I recommend, glam bands are nevertheless traveling and making an rather good type of money. some are even popping out with new textile. Grudge, on the different hand, appears to be like merely about thoroughly useless...except for the few Nirvana followers left, which i imagine were thoroughly puffed up. EDIT: One tremendous cutting-aspect band that's one in all my personal favorites is flow Canadian Ragweed. a lot of human beings do not recognize who they're in any respect. One reason behind this may be the actual undeniable actuality that their stupid record label categorized them as us of a even as they're of route rock! provide 'em a listen sometime--you heavily isn't sorry...exceptionally in case you want tremendous blues-inspired rock!
