While reading something about “Jupiter” the supreme God in Greek Mythology, I stopped at the sentence, “He was brother and husband of Juno, - principal goddess of the Pantheon.” Does it mean he married his blood sister? or a distant relative defined under sister category?

Many of the ancient pantheons have such unions, they believed in keeping the High Born blood as pure as possible. Jupiter and Juno were brother and sister, so were Isis and Osiris of Egypt, in some versions of chinese myth's world creations god Pan Ku and goddess Nuwa were brother and sister too. ( i believe children of Adam and Eve as well )

Later enthusiasts interpretted that it symbolised the union of all things as dual in nature and yet one in harmony. Like Sun and Moon, Male and Female, Even and Odd or the Tai Chi symbol of Ying and Yang

If it's similar to the Greek Zeus and Hera (Greek and Roman mythologies have many similarities), it seems Jupiter was both brother and husband of Juno, not a distant relative. In Greek mythology, Zeus and Hera were both sons of Cronos.

Yes, they were brother & sister, and Juno was older than Jupiter. But Jupiter and Juno are Roman, not Greek, and are the equivalent to the Greek god & goddess Zeus and Hera.

No, really its funny that way. Yes technically its an incestuous marriage - just look at there kids! That and they aren't exactly faithful with one affair or the next. They are both children of Cronus a Titan (big old primordial god) and Zeus ended up killing his father and taking up the mantle of ruler ship but dividing it between his other two older brothers, Poseidon (Neptune) and Hades (Pluto).

They were literally brother and sister. I don't know about the "blood" part, since I'm not positive the gods had blood.

I think she was a half-sister and historically such marriages were acceptable. For example Cleopatra was married to her brother.
