i downloaded a tv show down to windows media player but i cant see my show, but i can hear it.how can i fix?

you could try a patch from microsoft, or see if there is a newer version of windows media player avabile or if it isnt a wmv you could download realplayer that can work with a lot of file formats

You probably don't have the correct video codec. There should be an exclimation mark next to the video title. If you click on it, it will tell you what the problem is.
For the Divx Codec go to www.divx.com
You might even find a better video player than Windows Media on there.

You don't have the proper codec to see the video. Codec are like device drivers in the sense that it helps to interpret data for a software program. You can do one of two things. You choose to download the exact codec to play the video on WMP or you can download a bundle of codecs, which is bound to have the codec you need.

1. To find the exact codec you can use MediaInfo (http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en)

MediaInfo scans a video or audio file and displays its technical and tag information.
