Birth control doesn't even out until 1-3 months. The first few months are not fun sometimes. Your doctor will tell you to wait it out a few more months to see if it gets better. If you switch to another birth control pill, you will have side effects too - just maybe different ones. Just give it a month or two more, if it doesn't get better, switch.

The first bitrh control I tried was Ortho Tri Cyclen. It caused alot of bleeding for me and made me very sick with severe cramps. I never had cramps before that. I also had some acne and I was terribly moody. I don't reccommend this pill. The pill that works for me is Yasmin. I have beautiful skin, no cramps at all, and my period is light and lasts only 4 days max.

I was on so many different birth control pills and all of them i had the same side effects as you. I even tried ortho tri cyclen lo. My doctor told me that the hormones in the pills are too much for my body to handle. I've now stop taking birth control pills, i put my trust in Trojan condoms. My doctor also said i should try the depo shot, but I'm a punk when it comes to needles. So my advice to u is to speak with your GYN and see if you can stop taking the pills. And maybe try the shot.
Also for your acne i just started using clearasil ultra and it works wonders. here is the site for more info.

Just wondering if this is your first time on birth control ever?
Sorry it took so long to get back.
I was on Alesse for years and I never had any problem. However I have heard that this pill makes some women "crazy". I have not been taking the pill for 4 months now and you know what??? My body just seems to be more normal, but I never had any problems with heavy flow or stuff like that before.
I know I heaven't been much help. Ask your doctor what he recommends. I have also heard that Marvelon is a really good birth control to keep acne outbreaks to a minimum.
Anything with low estrogen is "supposed" to be good at keeping a light flow and controlling acne.
Hope you figure it out.
By the way, thank-you for your response to my question.

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!
Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:
1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.
2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.
I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.
There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/ that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

I take ortho tri cyclen lo and right around my period I break out pretty bad too. It's horrible and I hate it. I bleed pretty heavy too with cramps also.I've been on it for going on 5 months now. Talk to your doctor. I just deal with it because I don't want to get pregnant.

While it took little less than two months for me to really see a difference, my acne, blackheads and whole lot of other skin problems I had such as eczema had completely cleared! It was totally amazing...

Talk to your doctor about trying a different brand of pill.
This doesn't seem like it will be good for you at all. There are a lot of different brands out there. Unfortunately, it's all trial and error. There's no way of knowing how your body will react to it until you try it.
