I dont't know why I do but I think kangarooos go around punching and kicking people do tehy really punch adn kick hard?

Yes, and they can kill a grown man. Early in the twentieth century, they would import kangaroos to the US, and train them to 'box' with humans as a novelty attraction.

THey do kick as a defense and punch, but only if they are confronted or are being provoked. They are so fast they can hop away.

That is a defense mechanism for the kangaroo. They are also very fast.

Yes they certainly can, it's their way of defending themself. The attacks can be fatal and caution is urged if you're ever around them.
