Different tables have different methods. The most common method is that the cue ball is slightly smaller in size. Inside the tracks that the balls follow there is a common section track that consist of just two rails much like a train track but with no 'cross ties' between them. As the balls roll through this the cue ball, being slightly small in diameter will 'fall through' to a lower track that leads to the cue ball return.
Some tables use the opposite method where the cue ball is slightly larger and the other balls 'fall through'. You can determine which is which by first dropping a regular ball in to a pocket and listening for the number of 'drops' the ball takes. Then drop the cue ball in the same pocket and again count the drop 'hits'. They different pockets and you will soon find that one ball 'drops more times' than the other. That ball is smaller.
Hope this helps and have fun!

there is many Cue activities inclusive of Snooker, 3 cushion billiard and Pool. Pool has the main form of variety of video games inclusive of 9 ball interest, Rotation, One Pocket, as we communicate Pool etc. There are regulations utilized on each and each interest yet so some distance as i know 8 ball interest is the only Pool interest with disputed rule. 8 ball is performed in many countries and the regulations is assorted from each and each usa. specially, the regulations is going like this: a million) you may pocket all your balls out of your team earlier pocketing 8 ball. 2) you win the interest in the present day in case you pocket the 8 ball on the wreck. 3) you lose interest once you dedicate foul throughout the time of your final shot on 8 ball ( i.e. in case you pass over the 8 ball, in case you scratch and in case you hit different ball first. keep in mind: the above 3 rule are no longer changed from any usa..

It is smaller and so it fits through a hole that the other balls don't fit through.
