yes you can tan when its cloudy. Darkening of the skin is caused by an increase or release of the pigment melanin into the skin's cells after exposure to ultraviolet radiation. UV Rays can penitrate the clouds even though the suns light cant.

OH YEAH, you'll still get those rays on a partly cloudy day. Can't tell you how many times I went out without a shirt on an overcast day and ended up with a sunburn...Be careful! Don't stay out too long, and be sure to use sunscreen.

Well some sun rays pass through on cloudy days they just aren't nearly as strong as on a regular day, you might get somewhat tanned if you lay out

Yes. I've always heard watch out you can get burned faster on cloudy days than sunny ones. But from personal experience, sunny ones work faster. Cloudy ones do work too though.

yep! check the weather channel, and see what the uv level is in your area. itll be on the bottom of the screen with your local stuff. that will tell you how strong the rays are, but cloudy or sunny, you can tan!!!

Yes, just because is it cloudy, it does not mean that UV rays are not shining through..In fact, alot of people say that you are at more risk of burning if it is cloudy, because, if its not hot, you are unaware that rays are burning you.

you probably would, but you might get burned. Recommend trying it w/ suncsreen- often people think that they won't burn if it's cloudy out- increasing the chance that they will if they don't use sunscreen.

No, but tanning from the sun, and tanning beds is dangerous. it can cause skin cancer and other diseases. try using a spray-on tan instead. All the color without all those UV rays!
