Which is softer- a cotton weave or a cotton knit?

Depends on the thread count. If you get a 300-500 count weave, then yes the cotton weave will be much finer and softer, but if you have a 200 count one or less, I would say it's probably the knit that's softer. It's kind of a matter of opinion, though around the 200s to 300s. That and it might also depend on the kind of cotton, like a pima, or egyptian, vs a combed knit.
