To get started, I suggest contacting the Small Business Administration Financing Page (SBA) – links below. Entrepreneur also offers a great site dedicated to money & finance – see below.

Research, research, research – this cannot be stressed enough. Read as much as you can. Here are some book titles that are relevant:

* Free Money for Small Businesses and Entrepreneurs by Laurie Blum
* Finding Money: The Small Business Guide to Financing (Small Business Series) by Kate Lister, Tom Harnish
* Financing Your Business Dreams With Other People's Money: How and Where to Find Money for Start-Up and Growing Businesses by Harold R. Lacy
* No Cash No Fear: Entrepreneurial Secrets to Starting Any Business with No Money by Terry Allen
* Starting on a Shoestring: Building a Business Without a Bankroll by Arnold S. Goldstein

There are plenty of free informational resources out there. Check the source box for links to articles.

Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

ok, the first thing you need to do is learn how to articulate your queries so that others can understand what it is you're asking

My take on the question is, "How can I start a business with little or no money?" Tall order!

The first thing you need to do is some research and some soul searching on what your strong points are and what it is that you like to do.

Three years ago, I had a major loss in revenue when I lost a contract for my cleaning business. I needed to replace that income as I was bleeding about $1200.00 a month with the loss of that contract.

I went on the internet and I did my homework.

I discovered that a service business can be started up with very little income. I built a website: http www. paws-n-claws.ca and "opened my business."

It was slow going for the first couple of years, but I am now ready to go full time with my pet sitting business as it is outstripping my other two sources of income.

I think I got the whole thing going for about $600.00 bucks Canadian by doing most of the work myself.

It can be done, but don't expect big returns for a couple of years. You'll likely only get a minimal return, or lose money for a couple of years until your business catches on. Now, I'm talking a real viable business which you can make a living at, and not one of those pie in the sky internet businesses which are total bs.

It can be done! Good luck!

There are two ways to do this:

A: Customer / client funded project based busineses
Step1: Find Clients using your existing resources (like the Internet you now have access to, phone, cell phone, your personal skillset etc)
Setp 2: Get terms that seek Advance payment of atleast an amount that covers your need to get equipment or tools to get the service started and completed...leave out your profit margin for the end...if you can swing it, get 100% advance.
Step 3: Use your skills, expertise to get projects fulfilled and focus on such projects that you can fulfill on your own or through a vendor that gives you credit to take payments after they are done with the effort and you get paid in full by the client.

B: Investor funded businesses:
Step1: Put together a business plan.

Business plan = [Market (who will buy from you such that you can sell it profitably) x Product &/or Service]+ Revenue model

Step 2: The Business plan will help you get a financial plan together in terms of cash flow projections based on how many people you can sell to profitably to generate free cash flow.

Step 3: Show this to family and friends and help them understand how you intend to generate money for the value that your product or service adds to your customers.

Step 4: Raise capital called "Seed Money" from this set of family and friends.

Step 5: Ratify this business by getting to a decent run rate then you can go to a bank and apply for a small business loan that you can deploy for growth.

All businesses start out as Ideas...you personally don't need to have a single cent to actually start a business.
