follow these instructions and get them for FREE!!!!
borrow the cd u want from a freind/library and then put it in your comp. open winodws media use the rip function to it to rip the songs from the cd to your comp. this mite take a few min. after that save to your comp. next take a blank cd availible at any software store and use the burn function to burn the cd from your comp. for mp3s just follow the steps i just gave u except stop at the blank cd part then just go to the files u store your music in then group selct the tunes u want then rite clik and clik copy from the menu that just popped up from the rite clik then open the window for your player, rite clik and then clike paste from the menu that just popped up from the rite clik.
although this is not legally punishible (cops canNOT arrest u) it is still considered stealing and is bad 4 your health oh and dont forget to return the cd! :)
BUT WHO CARES!? ITS A FREE CD/MP3 !!!!!

Definatly Limewire but if you get pro it's much better which unfortunatly will cost you. You can get a free download though which is supposed to be good for 30 days but you don't have to delete it and you can download as many songs as you like for free!!

Definitely www.limewire.com. It doesn't give you spyware and virus' and its totally FREE! It's really easy to search for the music you want and downloads quick to your PC. Once you have your music downloaded into limewire library drag them from there to your PCs desktop main page. From there you can load them onto your mp3 player.
I wouldn't recommend bear share or kazaa.
gd luck

Both free to sign up and legal and normally run by bands themselves so you sometimes get some weird tracks, b-sides or demos too.
If you like a band, go to their website and see if they have any mp3s to download. Also go to their labels and look for the same - you may even find some new bands to like.

definately go for free downloads, but dont use limewire, you can get viruses and stuff. use bittorrent. download azureus, you can find it on google. then go to isohunt.com and download whatever you need. the downloads from isohunt.com wont work unless you've installed azureus
