Well with all due respect, some people feel the same way about killing chickens or pigs. It's really a cultural difference.

Without getting into the cultural differences between countries, and the fact that you have a spelling problem, why on earth did you choose to post this question under "Government?" Why don't you go live in China for a year or so and then state that it is not a poor country.

In Korea and parts of China dogs and cats are boiled alive to be eaten as a delicacy. Boiling an animal alive isn't the most pleasant job in the world so I think its fair to assume that you just can't get it to taste as good by any more humane method. On top of that they see dogs and cats as livestock just as we do with cows and chickens.

Personally, I like to eat meat, but would prefer animals to be killed humanely. I'm not rich, or posh, so if the food doesn't taste quite as good because the animal was killed humanely, I don't mind at all.

Is it wrong to kill and eat animals? Jesus killed and ate fish and probably other animals and he is widely believed to be the son of God so... I don't think so. He also cast the hundreds of demons from Legion into a herd of pigs, so I think it can be determined that animals where created to serve us. Either as pets, or as labourers or as food.

I agree totally! I don't care if it's a cultural difference. Dogs and cats are very loyal, loving animals and don't deserve to be cooked for some idiots dinner. You can't say they are on the same par as chicken or fish. I'd love to roast the lot of the greedy, cruel b***rds live and see how they like it! Anyone who disagrees with me should rot in hell.

Western nations are privileged to have it so good that you care so much about the welfare of animals. In China, dogs are seen as pests not lovable pets and in South Korea food.

In India, citizens there would say the exact same thing about the Western world and how we eat and kill cattle.

It is a cultural difference. Some may look at us in much the same way for killing cows, pigs, or poultry.
