would you rather have a unique name that not very many people have or a common name?

i have a unique name and love it, once someone said they had heard of someone named that and i found out it was me...i have yet to meet someone with my name. but i won't tell you what it is! :)

Unique,my name is unique and when i introduce myself to people they always say i never heard that before and since i love to be different,that makes me feel good.Ive even had someone named after me!

I think it depends on how unique because growing up if your name is too unique then other people will make fun of you for it. Common names however are boring....I would go for a moderately unique name....

Unique. I actually do have one (Rose) & it's a blessing. If you have a common name then like 5 other people turn around when the name is called.

My name is Devon, and when I was a kid, I was determined that I was going to grow up and change my name to Crystal on my 18th birthday. Okay, that phase did not last long *Thank God*. By the time I was eighteen, I had fallen in love with my name. Now however it seems everywhere I go there is a Devon, female and male. :( I really wish my name was still unique.

I don't have a common name as I have NEVER met another Carleen in my life. Its always Charlene or Collen. I don't feel my name is unique, but I know that I am unique. I really am.

I like my name. People always reference the song "My Michelle" when they hear it. And it seems a lot of guys just "love" the name Michelle. I've never once hated my name. I think it looks beautiful when written, and sounds beautiful when spoken.
