i always hear about people getting the run around... never responding to emails, phone calls, mail.... are corporations and people cowards when they get confronted about something?

Because they see no advantage in you to themselves and just hope you go away so they can deal with somebody who they can derive a benefit from. How's that for a run on sentence!
People or businesses who do this are short sided and will probably lose business or people relationships in the long run, it will sooner or later catch up to them in on way or another. And I mean in a real world sense, not in some Karmic or psycho babble way.

I have found that most places will give you the 'run around' because most of the time people simply don't want to take the time to help you or they simply don't know enough about their jobs to help you.
Most people go to work to collect paychecks or to have something to do with their day.
I know that whenever you go in for a job you usually will have to sit through a few hours or a whole day of orientation to become familiar with how a company is run and the procedures of how to deal with the public and public inquiries. Chances are you are so bored that you really don't pay attention to all the rules and the chains of commands and blah blah blah. So when confronted with someone or a situation people can only give a vague response or direct you to someone who has no affiliation t what you are looking for, need to know, etc.

Of course they're cowards that's the reason they invented the automatic operators. press 1 for assistance with your question, press 2 for assistance with your car,....press 8 if you think this is bulls***...press 0 if your dumb a** is still on the phone pressing stupid numbers, because we can out last you.
