lets see you are asked to work for a standar wage, so far so good
then you decide you are really going to put effor into it so you can get ahead, problem is the party tell you how much you can make, where to work and what idiot is going to be your boss
so you do not put effort ahead and hence the system fails (which it did)
imagine if you will what would the incentive spend countless night studying if you are going to et paid the same as everyboy else?

Is Communism practical? Look at ants or an insect colony and see how succesful they are. Or, think for a moment of all the organized religions and see how they practice their own form of communism.
Communism IS practical on paper. But, once you throw in the elemnet known as humanity... forget it! It goes to hell on greased wheels because of man's innate nature, dishonesty, greed, the urge to control, rule and command over others... etc.
Take the time to read the Constitution of any Communist country past and/or present and see how practical is seems... until the human element is factored into the equation! What the constitution of a communist past/present reads is a far cry from what is being/was done.
There's nothing wrong with Communism except the people that are in control and power!

I would not say that a true communism is practical. However, an economic system based on it, but with some capitalistic elements would be best. By not rewarding those who work harder in a communistic society, morale tends to decrease as people get sloppy. However, something like national healthcare would provide for a better society. Lets take Great Britain for example: It is a socialist country that is running extremely well: great economy, lower crime rates, high standard of living, Why? because it doesn't restrict itself to pure communism, understanding that it does not work too well.

Not only practical, but practiced. After all, a family is a virtually perfect communistic structure, where each contributes to the best of his/her ability, and all draw from the communal pool what is needed.
Of course, it clearly is not practical for larger groups. It only seems to work when you feel intimately connected to the other in the group; otherwise people get uncomfortable about sharing.

Commnism is a nice idea, but it is just that. Many countries claim to be communist, however are closer to being fascist. It can never truly work. Same thing for a Socialist givernment.
All people have free will, and everyone has their own agendas. Some peoples' priorities conflict with others. That is a natural fact. Not everyone has the ability to see things from the perspective of others, or even considers other peoples' priorities. Take a look at North Korea, or even the USA, for that matter.....

Communism is the perfect system for the perfec society. It is Utopian and therefore not practical. It is a system based on Marxist equality which requires everyone to be the same in order to be treated the same. As it was designed for the perfect society it would never work, we are far from perfect and thus strive for progress, this curiosity for what we can achieve also feeds ambition and breads ideas. This is creates a society far from egalitarian and as such far from the Marxist concept of perfection.

Communism is nothing more than a cheap excuse for a dictatorship. Centralizing power to a select few only robs the larger community of participation or control of their future

Communism touts equality for all but in reality it stunts progress, individuality, and allows a select few to govern the masses. Case in point being China where 20 million members of the communist party decide what is good for 1.5 billion people.

the truth is communism does work, but with much power comes much corruption.....if done the right way.....communism was proven on paper and studies that it works very well, its just that it has never been done the right way, people abuse the power and it all falls apart,it is a idea that humans are just not ready to accept and do the right way....

Communism and Democracy are quite different. In communism, one man exploits the needs of another, and in Democracy it is quite the opposite.
