You first need to install a client. There are many, but I personally use Azeurus.
You then need to find torrent files. There are many places, but my favorite is www.torrentspy.com. Click on the file you want, select "Download Torrent' and open it. Wait a couple of minutes and the transfer will begin.

Like they said download a program:
utorrent,
bitlord,
bittorrent,
etc.
Then goto a site like: torrentspy.com, thepiratebay.org, torrentbox.com, etc.
Also if the speeds of the download your looking for are slow check limewire or another p2p network. Remember to get the torrent with the most seeds.
