i thought it was the speakers, so i bought new ones and there still isnt any sound please help

Try to check that you've plugged your speakers in properly into the correct hole - don't plug it into the mic input. Also, go to your volume control (Start --> Control Panel --> Sounds and Audio Devices) and check that you have not muted your computer, and that the volume is set to a reasonable level.
If that's not helping and since it's a new set of speakers, it might be problems with your computer's sound card.

it might be your sound settings. go into CP and the sound area. it should have some settings so see if thats on mute. It also could be someone un-installed your audio driver thinking it was a useless thing(happened to me). Find the cd that came with your computer that says sound driver or sumthing like that.~Joey

Check the driver software is installed
and all the Codec were installed

I think you turn the sound card off
