Depends on the hospital & your doctor. Usually no more than 3 because most birthing rooms are not that big and extra people tend to get in the way...

Depends on the hospital's policy. Usually the county run or public/teaching hospitals are going to be the strictest about rules. The hospitals in the most affluent areas are going to be the most lenient. At my particular hospital (which fits the second criteria) the answer seems to be "as many as we can pack in the room" It is unsafe to have a bunch of people packed in the room. If you need a c-section, our policies require an OB to do the surgery, usually another OB to assist, an RN to scrub and circulate, an anesthesiologist, and a NICU nurse to assess the infant. That's five staff members, plus you and your husband - so seven. Even an uncomplicated vaginal delivery has at least two or three staff members minimum and if things go wrong they need room to move around.

It depends on your hospital or birthing centers regulations.
At my hospital, no more than 3 are allowed in the delivery room at one time. In fact, they make you wear a hospital bracelet and you only get 3 to distribute.

it depends on the hospital standards as well as the doctor i had four people in the delivery room with me but i gave birth in a brand new hospital and the rooms were bigger than a hotel room so they really didn't have a problem when you go back to your doc, ask him/her how many are allowed in the room so you can start planning who youre going to choose

My best friend had 9 in the delivery room for her last delivery. Shes due again in December and i think she will have 12 this time. Her doctor and hospital dont mind and she likes the idea of having her closest friends and family there to welcome their miracle.
If you're more of a quiet person and dont want alot of people in there, thats ok too. I on ly had my daughters father in while giving birth. It was his choice becaues he didnt get along with my mom. Looking back i'd atleast have had her in there.

It all depends on the hospital. I would ask them what they allow. Where I went they allowed me to have 3 people in there. I know some hospitals will set up computers for you if you wanted to send emails of pictures or whatever you want to send. I have even seen hospital that set up a feed of what is going on inside of the room to be seen by relatives in the waiting room.

It depends on the hospitals policy. You can contact your local hospital or ask the doctor that will be delivering your baby. More than likely they only allow 2 or 3 people.

Depends on the hospital and how the labor is going. In my area you are allowed 4 people besides the nurses and doctor. And in my family we push to have as many people as we can.

Depends on the hospital. One hospital I went to is was 2 and another it had no limit as long as the mother was happy and the staff could move freely in the room.
