Laptop Question?

I have a Dell Inspirion 1100 and I lost the "Q" from they keyboard. Does anyone know if I can buy a replacement or if there places that fix that kind of thing or am I **** outta luck?

they will want to replace the entire keyboard unit. They do not have replacement keys as parts. If you are under warranty, they may have somewhere locally you can bring in it for service.
When i worked with DELL, they still liked to have most of thier repairs come directly to them. Call DELL they will determine your warranty and the best method for replacement.
It is MINOR repair I would replace them in minutes., and when i worked for TOSHIBA the keyboards were about 44 bux to the customer plus labor. Hopefully you are under warranty.

I'm not sure about it, but I'm not sure if you can have it fixed without going back to Dell. Try going back to them, especially if your warranty hasn't expired yet. If they've taken it in, I doubt if replacing your keyboard would be difficult - not sure about the price tho!

You could call Dell's customer service #, but the best and cheapest way would be looking up replacement dell laptop keys on eBay like this:

call dell support, they will probably just send you a key that snaps into place

take it to your local computer store, if they can't help you, then go to dell.
