Then why don't you enlist? Stop ranting and do something about it.

I think that you are totally correct and Sheehan is a disgrace to this country and the memory of her son. I can understand her being remorseful about the loss of her son - and even being against the war. But her son was a volunteer and he knew when he joined the Army, his chances were very good that he would be sent to Iraq. Fortunately, there are more people like him than there are of Cindy Sheehan. Sheehan is ignorant and allows people to take advantage of her. Why else would she be seen with people like Hugo Chavez?
The war protesters of today are nothing like the protests in the late 60s-early 70s. Our troops are held in high regard and their morale is high.

Mrs. Sheehan has been overwhelmed by the loss of her son. From what I've heard, he was proud to serve his country, and like all of our soldiers, he knew the risks involved.
Unfortunately, her political posturing discredits his sacrifice and the job that our men and women in uniform are doing for us. We can politicize everything, but that doesn't change the fact that Islamo-fascists would like to see us all dead, while the rest of the world lives in the 7th century (women in burkas, priests running the government, etc.).
I cannot stand those leftists who think we can appease our way out of anything, and then use Mrs. Sheehan as their tool to convince others that weakness and cowardice are the real solution. As for Mrs. Sheehan, I feel sorry for her.

Cindy Sheehan is a Gold Star mother. As far as I am concerned she has earned the right to be angry and say whatever she wants. I don't care for the group that has grabbed on to her but that 's me. You don't have to like what she says...but let her speak. She has earned that right.

Cindy Sheehan is a very unintelligent woman. She's been used by left wing groups and is now full of herself. The liberals should be embarassed to use her as a spokesperson for their "cause".

I served in the US Army during the Vietnam conflict. Unlike the president & VP, I was actually on active duty.
And, I do not share your John Wayne or Rambo fantasy about dying or having my limbs blown off as being an "honor."
Somehow, the thought of a draft dodging, drunken, drug addict ordering men to do what he (or his VP) refused to do is beyond words. As are your idiotic remarks.
George Bush is the worst president I've seen in my lifetime. He's a liar, incompetent and corrupt to the core. He is far worse than Johnson & Nixon combined. Only morons & criminals support him. Or a combination of the two.

She feels her child has died in vain. Sure it may be considered an honor if, in fact, we were fighting a justified cause. do we REALLY know why we are there? c'mon!
