Its about time we have a REAL Republican in the white house, I'm tired of having that draft dodger of a president in office.

Why McCain? He appears reasonable, but how many of us who like him know what he stands for? I'm not sure myself.

I think the next nomination will be a battle for the soul of the Republican party. If McCain wins, they have a hope, if not, it will be official that they've been taken over by the extreme fringe of the Fundamentalist Christians.

Though it bothers me that McCain has now taken to selling himself to these same fringe radicals.

I can wait.

He is a war hero,but...

In 2000 he said of the Republican party:"This is the party of Abraham Lincoln, not Pat Robertson".

Fair Enough.

Recently,he's been seen schmoozing with Jerry Falwell, the man you basically need the blessing of to run for President in the Republican Party.

That, and an unconvincing hostility towards gay marriage in AZ.

Does sound like a real Republican.I'll pass.

I can wait a long time for that. John McCain is alright but I couldn't vote for him as president.

Well, we will see what happens. Do you think John McCain has the backing to take the nomination? He does have the name recognition, but will he take the nomination?

What is a real Republican anyway? What we need is a third party candidate that is not business as usual. And that is what you will get with this two party system that dominates politics.

Not as long as I could wait for Hilary, but close. In other words, practically forever.
