I can't help it! it's just my nature. people should judge me by who I am, not by my conditions which I have no control over.

You say people should judge you for who you are.....you're a admitted klepto, and that's what they're judging you by.
No one likes a thief....that's the simple truth.
You should talk to your doctor about this to try and get help instead of saying "oh well, nothing I can do, that's just who I am".
Who you are, is not a trustworthy person and you should try to change that instead of making the rest of the world adjust to your "problem".
If you don't want to put out effort to help yourself then why should anyone put out effort to "accept" you?

people have their own judgements. no one can change that of their condition. if they disrespect you for being a klepto, do something to gainback that respect. show them you are not a klepto because you want to. show them you do have a good heart. if all else fails, find a true friend that understands your condition and will support you in OVERCOMING it. with moral support from frenz n family, you can try to fight back the urge to 'take' what you shouldnt.

Substitute the phrase "serial killer" for klepto and then ask yourself the same question.

But you CAN have control over them. By thinking you can't get better, you are letting your condition overpower you.

Don't let that happen. Your condition can be cured if you want it to be cured.

Even if you don't think so, you should still try. Condition yourself so that whenever you steal something you smack your forehead or something. Idk.

Maybe they do not respect you because you are not trying to get help for your ailment. Have you tried to control it? Tried therapy, medication, anything to curb your desire to steal?
