Put them on your hand. Put some endust (or whatever you use to clean with) on the sock and wipe away! You can also use them to clean the blades on ceiling fans. They make ok dusters, and when you are done you can throw them if you want, as you were done with them anyway!

I have used old cotton socks for dust rags. Just wear the sock like a glove spray with polish and dust away.

Do you have a dog? Do you know someone that has a dog? Tie them together to make a tether rope. Dogs LOVE this. Or put a tennis ball inside and then tie the sock shut....great dog toys!

I grow vegetables, when onions are ready to be picked I store them in old tights, perhaps socks could do the same thing

After bleaching, old shredded socks can be used for quilt, pillow or doll filler/stuffing. They can also be used as rag rollers! Roll up damp hair, tie them up and sleep on it. Works great for the Pam Anderson 'do'. :) Enjoy!

I use them for polishing furniture, there great. Also you can never have enough soft type rags. There good for silver or waxing cars etc. You just throw them away after your done.

They're great for dusting. Just put a clean one on your hand, spray with a bit of furniture polish, and off you go. They're good for getteing into hard to reach areas, especially crooks and crannies of lamps, knobs and such.

Shout has this sock soak that works pretty well. Also, you can try bleach or a bleach alternative. I use both.

place a sock on the end off the rain pipe going into a water butt tigh it to stop it falling off, it then filters the water when it rains into the butt after a while take it off when its full of gunge and replace it with another one, hey presto clean water and no butt full of sediment

make lots of puppets out of them. like hundreds, then put on a broadway musical with them. every real actor can be two puppets.
film it and send it to hollywood producers....
