Your doctor probably has something to say about that. I don't think you should be on your feet that long. I am 25 weeks and my doctor will only let me be on my feet 2 hours at a time at work.

I have worked in a nursing home as an aid and have worked with many people who were pregnant and if you know what that job is you know you are on your feet all day running around and hardly ever get a break. Their babies turned out fine and they worked until they delivered. If this was not your normal routine before you got pregnant then no you shouldn't be doing it now but if you have then your prbaby just tired from carrying extra weight around. I would talk to your doctor and see what he says and if it gets too bad then stop working or work less hours or even ask them if they have a different job you can do that doesn't require so much standing.

I worked as a bartender until i was 36 weeks and I just had to stop working because the pain at the end of the night was unbearable..However I delivered a perfect 8 lb girl 2 weeks earlier than my due date. I never was told by my doctor that standing would be harmfull.. I actually helped my deliver sooner. Always ask you doctor though. If they feel you are high risk you may need to talk to your boss. But I can tell you that the uncomfort, fatigue and pain of being on your feet is something that comes along with being pregnant no matter what you do.

good luck

You need to ask your doctor about your particular situation. Everyone is different. Why is it so necessary for you to be on your feet? Is there any way you could use a chair or a stool at least some of the time?

Girl i worked in daycare during my pregnancy. I went on maternity leave at 37 weeks and was on my feet and lifting children and chasing after kids all day everyday. Unless your doctor has you on bed rest, you will be fine and your baby will be fine too.

Ask if you can sit to do your work. Companies have to make reasonable accomodations, they could even put you somewhere else teporarily. You have to speak up though, they wont read your mind.
