Anger is an emotional response to a grievance; real or imagined; past, present or future. Rage refers to an extreme degree of anger associated with a loss of calmness or discipline (in the case of human conduct).
Often based in a sensation or perception of threat, anger can be considered an emotional component in the increased threat response (part of the broader "stress response") whereby the charged emotional state produces physiological effects (increased epinephrine, cortisol), thereby producing behavioural effect of heightened stress and aggression

Grrrrrrrrrreat Question!
Yeah, all that religious mumbo jumbo...these believers are pretty absolute that they are on the right track, or the only track to be on.. It is hard to change that. As my father used to say, "Some people just have Portland cement between their ears." People have been killing one another over it their religious beliefs since from Alexander the Great or before and until now. Beliefs can and do kill, if not you than them.
When did we all get so uptight?...it has always been that way. I can remember being told at age 6 that if a person was not catholic they would never get to heaven, because it was the only true religion, et.al. We were ALL brainwashed and nothing much has changed and I doubt it ever will. If I can question what I was taught...why can't they. Oh, I forgot...they are taught not to question. The proof is all the bloodshed we see and hear about on a daily basis. I guess I was lucky...I had a mother who questioned all of it...she was ignored or shunned for bringing it up.
She was not successful in cleansing the brains of anyone but me. I had a brother who turned out to be a Deacon..fullfilling a great wish and millions of prayers of my late paternal grandmother who was a great believer, "holy and devote" who questioned nothing and whose pat answer to some of my questions were..."it is one of the mysteries of the church and you must not question it." So we lived in fear of great mysteries...not unlike the bogeyman. Too doubt was to bring forth scorn and shame on yourself.
It's all a power trip and reading Questions and Answers on this Yahoo games is proof.
It was good you took notice of it...it helps me to know not everyone drinks the Kool-aid.... Thanks for asking.

Since the "family" structure has been deteriorating at a steady pace! The single parenting, the two income (both parents) working started. This left little to no time for disciplining or teaching of kindness and manners. It was left up to caretakers/daycare centers to do that painstaking job. Not to mention the fact that more people attended church together as a family and the lessons and values of life were shared and we were reminded to love and be kind to our fellow man! Now it seems like it's "every man for himself"! Hooray for me and to hell with you! Take care of #1. We have also learned to protect our "feelings" we put up walls because there are SO many hurtful scamming individuals in the world today. Not to mention the greedy money hungry ones either! Now you know- go forth and change things, one person at a time !! :D

There is an anonymity in this medium. So people can say angry things or hateful things or completely retarded things and for the most part get away with it. As long as no one knows me I can say whatever I want. Of course I'll say whatever I want to your face because that's the kind of person I am. But your perceptions are correct people, complete strangers do have carte blanch to say what they want with little regard for others.

I don't know. Maybe they come here to relieve the stress from their real lives. But my thing is, why get upset from people's questions or answers on the internet? It's a waste of time and doesn't solve anything. If I read something I don't like, I just ignore it. So I agree, people shouldn't get so upset and uptight. It's just the internet.

Since we can't slow down reproduction. The more people in the world, the worse it gets! People no longer have patience for others (at all) nor do they care whether or not they're hurting others' feelings! There aren't many open-minded folks out there anymore, are there? It does seem like an uptight world...things that make you go mmmmm....

Not everyone is confrontational and angry. Just the uninformed and the losers here. I've gotten where I ignore a lot of the questions that are only to stir up anger. There is a lot of humor on here also, but some of the angry can't see it. Time to get on the Zoloff bus for them.

WHY IS IT A COMPULSION FOR PEOPLE TO FEEL LIKE EVERYONE SHOULD BE JUST LIKE THEM, THINK JUST LIKE THEM, AND ACT JUST LIKE THEM?
I think a possible answer to your question and mine, is that people are the star in their own play, and "right" in their own mind, and depending on their level of narcissism, treat others according to how they feel about themselves.
Each religion has their own "rules" and believe that those who do not believe the same, are "wrong". Same thing goes with personal coping skills and ideals.
Take for example "bible-thumpers," wife-beaters," and "sex symbols." Also, controversial issues such as gun control, abortion, the death penalty, prejudices, and ethnocentrism.
Some people feel more passionately about their own beliefs, and others are more tolerant of others. Peoples' level of narcissism dictates how confrontational they choose to be.
Does that help?

It's the sign of the times. I saw a documentary years ago. It was an experiment (with rats) on overpopulation.
So there you have it. Life is called a rat race for a reason. Think about it.

Some people are kinda weird that way, so set in their beliefs or ways they refuse to accept that other people have different ways and beliefs. It doesn't matter if either person is right or wrong or even if the topic is as innocuous as which is better, sardines in olive oil or tomato sauce.
