Um there are a lot of difference between the two. The amish do not use modern made anything where as the mormons do. I mean they televise Conference twice a year around the entire world. Clothing for mormons are normal check out my picture. Better yet check out my yahoo profile..... I don't have a url but my profile is under venemouslips or tjnw79. Amish sure as hell do not dress like this.

Amish are very fundamentalist Christians who shun modern technology. Mormons claim to be a Christian sect, but they also believe in the Book of Mormon, which contradicts the Bible in numerous ways. And if there is a conflict between the Bible and the Book of Mormon, the Book of Mormon takes precedence. That's why most Christian groups have denounced the Mormons as a "cult."

Amish purposely remove themselves from modern society and aviod any technology that was a result of the (to their eye immoral) inudstrial revolution.
Mormons are a sect of Chrisiantiy that was started by some guy (forget his name) who had a vision and retooled the entire religion, including adding polygamy. They were not accepted by the traditonal Christians so they did a second pilgramage and ended up in Utah.

I don't think they are related at all. I think you may have meant to say Minnonites (spelling?) instead of Mormons ... anyway, I've met both, and they are nothing alike. This is very stereotypical, but every Mormon I've met has been an overall nice person, whereas the Amish are a$$holes. They get really ticked when you try to photograph them.

Amish people claim Christian belief and believe in shunning the material things of this world as a way to keep themselves devoted to spirituality.
Mormons deny the deity of Christ, among other chief doctrines of Christianity, which would make them a non-Christian group.

They are different groups. Amish live mostly in Pensilvania according to 1800s traditions. They are strict Christians. They follow the bible.
Mormons follow a book written by a guy who they see as Jesus' reincarnation. If you go to www.bbc.co.uk and click at religion, it is all very good explained there.
