Given they are in weak NFC North anything is possible. Looking at the schedule
SEATTLE SEAHAWKS - L
@Chicago Bears - L
GREEN BAY PACKERS - W
@ St. Louis Rams - L
@ Minnesota Vikings - W
BUFFALO BILLS - L
@ New York Jets -L
Bye Week
ATLANTA FALCONS - L
SAN FRANCISCO 49ers - W
@ Arizona Cardinals Cardinals - W
MIAMI DOLPHINS - W
@ New England Patriots - L
MINNESOTA VIKINGS - W
@ Green Bay Packers - L
CHICAGO BEARS - L
@ Dallas Cowboys -L
Looks like 6-10 might get to 8-8 if they can win 1 of these 2 - Jets, Bills and win 1 more home game in there.

I'm from Detroit and I sure hope so. If we can stay healthy we'll have at least a legitimate chance at taking the NFC Central. We have the talent we just need the players to cooperate. With Charles Rogers and Mike Williams constantly giving us problems we need to look beyond them and come together as a team like the Tigers did. With a new coaching staff like the Tigers I pray we can turn things around and simply shock everybody and make the Super Bowl. Wouldn't that be awesome?

No way. To agree with an earlier answer, Martz is an idiot. He has no idea what to do with a game plan. Look what he did against New England in the Super Bowl. He had the best back in the NFL and passed the ball most of the game. He is going to get the head coach fired. hopefully he gets Matt Millan out as well. He is a dope.

With any Pro team there is always a couple things that need answered. 1 will there be injuries on their team and on the other teams? 2 which greenbay, chicago, and Mini team will show up none are all that consistent. 3 do they get on a roll. Confidence is a major factor in how teams play. A mid level team that has a "swagger" for lack of a better word is dangerous.
Do they have holes sure but all teams do. kitna is serviceable but the one thing he has that Det has been missing is leadership and that is priceless. yeah Martz is a mad scientist but he is knowledgeable. I think the head coach will contain his throw it all the time tendencies.
So to answer your question yes its possible.

I hope so. I'm tired of hearing my dad say they will win a Superbowl before he dies. People in Michigan have come to expect the Red Wings to be the best sports team we have and the Tigers to be the worse. But then the Tigers went and ruined that by winning all the time. Then the Red Wings ruined it by letting Brendan Shanahan go. So that only leaves the Lions really. (The Pistons dont count as a team, its basketball and basketball is lame)

Not when the coach has no previous head coaching experience and he runs things like an Army Seargant and that QB is Jon Kitna, sorry Lions fans, but 6-10 again, I know they were only 5-11 but that rhymed.
