Sometimes you can read between the lines of what they are saying... plus, consider the WHO of the source. The bias would be different on the topic of Population Control by both those who favor abortion and those who are against it.

First, what is bias? Have you done a search in it yet? You can do that one yourself.

Second, it is important to review the history of the source to see what their perspective was on previously reported events and compare them to how other reported the same thing.

Why is it important, again you have to decide that. I'll through a hint out for you. What if all you ever got was your mom's description on everything. You ask her to describe something like, ice cream and she says that chocolate is the best and vanilla is bad so you grow up eating only chocolate ice cream and never trying vanilla. Then when you at a friends birthday party all they have is vanilla and you try it and love it.

Bottom line is it's never good to get all you views and information from one source. Look at it from different point's of view and make up your own mind.
