Yes, OxyClean does work great. As the name implies, it 'oxygenates" (if there is such a word) the stain. This causes the stain causing material to "oxidize". This is completely safe for most materials. As opposed to using Chlorine bleach, which also causes oxidizing, which can also oxidize the dye that is present in the shirt/skirt/carpet, etc.
OxyClean will really only work on "Organic" stains (like from wine, grass, tea, soda, etc). Stains from non-organic, (like rust) won't be affected by OxyClean.
As they show on TV, using OxyClean while the stain causing material is still wet, works better, after it sets in, it is a little harder to get out. Then it might take a couple of applications.

Yes it does. Actualyy I have used the carpet cleaning version of that to remove really tough old stains like grass, coffee and general I don't know what kind of food. I spray it on the stain and use a tooth brush a rub it into the stain is a circular motion and then wash. It has worked great.

I am the wrong person to ask BECAUSE.. I H A T E anything with the oxyclean name on it.. I have tried it 3 times and it NEVER works.. It is a scam to buy that junk. Shout does work IF... IF you catch the spot in time.

Yes it works. I have gotten out baby stains, blood, chocolate, food, and many more. I recommend that you soak them in a bucket of water with the oxi-clean first though to pre-treat them if they are bad. Actually I usually use the combination of oxi-clean, a scoop in all loads and spray stains with spray'n'wash.
