Not trying to be gross...it's just one of the funniest things I've ever seen! Those suckers really get some distance!! LOL!!
After we were at the Aquarium & saw this, I came home & looked it up---& there is a reason they do that.

HAHAHAHAHA!! Great responses! I hope you can find a video on-line. I just now typed in "video of penguin pooping" & got about 17,000 results!!
As far as the reason:
"Penguins seems to be extremely talented birds. Not only are they adapted to an oceanic life extremely well, they also have other more 'hidden' talents.
Penguins are capable of expelling their feces with extreme force therefore avoiding fouling their nest and themselves. "

lol. i gotta find this. I saw the tigers at sth six flags exibit. They are the best. I haven't seen penguins poop yet but now I will. Thanks.<----sounds pretty wierd

i saw it and it was long and yellow!!!!!!!
it smells horrible and you can smell it like 1000 miles away
