Hey, my name is Stevenson, and i'm from NYC. I enjoy writing stories.. I just finish writing a short story and i wanted to know if anyone wanted to read it. If so, leave your email address and i'll send it to you. Thank you, and here's a brief summary of the story

Joey: A 16 year old kid with the thought of mind of Holden Caulfield and the slick mouth of any lonely teenager searching for acceptance. After Joey’s mom hits the lottery they move to Laguna Beach, California, or as Joey would say: “the place where Satan’s children reside”. While enjoying the Laguna Beach party life, Joey needs more, so he convinces his mom to send him to Africa: “To find the meaning of life and all”. While rooming at J.Danjis: A boarding school in Africa, Joey meets some questionable people and teachers who are sure to map out the real question of why Joey is so angry at the world. Taking a page out of J.D Salinger’s: Catcher in the Rye writing style and the sleek references to pop culture. He never heard her whisper is a sure bet when it comes to adolescence and rebellion.

The summary definitely is interesting, i can understand Joey's need to leave the glittery falseness of the indulgent Laguna Beach elite. Going to Africa provides the contrast needed to the give the story interest and drama, hopefully there his mentors provide the nectar needed to quench his rebellious thirst.

nonononono I do not want to read that book! that sounds boring. Why the stop in Laguna Beach anyways? Why not just send him straight to africa? or did you need to get some LC in there? I do not want to read that story nooo. Why is rebelling anyways? What's wrong with his life? This sounds stupid and too comlicated, with africa and Laguna beach and stuff. Why does the boarding school have to be in Africa? So he can get HIV? Why can't it be in Massachusets or connecticut or heck even Wyoming. Not that I have a thing against africa but why does it need to be in africa?

so nooo do not contact me and I know this was a waste of a post but who cares you're not the boos of me biatch!

It sounds to me as though you may be TOO much influenced by Mr. Salinger. You seem to have good ideas, and your having written the story and your looking for feedback are positive.
But you need to find your own voice/style.
