Technical analysis is best applied to an individual stock when fundamental factors remain relatively constant over a short period of time (usually up to 30 days). Any change in fundamental factors affecting a stock's price will usually invalidate the technical analysis (e.g. an earnings surprise). The FTSE100 is an index made up of a large number of different companies, and there are too many factors that change on a day-to-day basis to predict its direction using only technical analysis.

Having into account that quite big mining companies belong to that index and that there was a big selloff in May-June I think it will rebound 5% in one month. So in September 16 should be at 6192.

I am a self-educated individual investor.
