Tomatoes are a very good source of fiber, which has been shown to lower high cholesterol levels, keep blood sugar levels from getting too high, and help prevent colon cancer. A cup of fresh tomato will provide you with 57.3% of the daily value for vitamin C, plus 22.4% of the DV for vitamin A, and 7.9% of the DV for fiber.

No. Saturated (animal source) fats and refined carbs (white sugar and flours) are bad for cholesterol. See the Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine for an excellent discussion of high cholesterol and how to deal with it.
Also chek out Adelle Davis's book Let's Get Well.

Any vegetables are good at preventing heart attack , stroke, and bad cholesterol in your blood because of its cleansing nature.
Tomatoes actually contains a lot of antioxidants called flavinoids which prevents cancers. Flavinoids are contained in veggies with bright orange and red colors: orange, tomatoes, carrots, etc.
Tomatoes also contain lots of vitamin C which helps to prevent cold, improves blood oxygen intake and helps to strengthen bone by working with calcium.
So eat lots of tomatoes it is extremely good for you.

No, not at all on its own! However, make sure that the seeds are separated and thrown away because when seeds are consumed they may not be digested and when accumulated in one's system can cause other problems!
