They eat and drink a ton, they need as much timothy hay as they will eat, guinea pig pellets, romaine lettuce, carrots. They also need a vitamin supplement in their water. I have 17 pets and am a huge animal lover but I will never get pigs again. Rats are the way to go, trainable, lower maintenance, less smelly and smaller.

Well Guine Pigs really like to be played with. They sleep in the day so try not to bother them in the day time. The best time to play with them is about 7:00-8:00pm. That when they are waking up and they really like to play and they are the most friendly at that time too.

make sure they always have food and water they can also have almost any vegetable mine really like carrots and tomatoes. they also love basil and all the weedy crap. it makes cleaning there cage alot easier when you put a garbage bag on the bottom and cover it with newpaper and the bedding crap so then you just pick up the garbage bag and theres not **** stuck in all the corners. if you only have one you should clean the cage like once a week and if you have 2 clean the cage like twice a week.
