backpacking in europe?

I am traveling to Europe for 2 months leaving the US on Sept 14 and returning November 14 I wondering if anyone has any suggestions of stuff that I should bring that I may forget or if there are any websites that offer a good list of what to pack. Also does anyone have any suggestions of things that I absolutely shouldnt miss i am buying a rail pass and planning on traveling mostly in Eastern Europe.

What fun! You are going to want to pack and repack before you go and DON'T TAKE TOO MUCH! Americans have a tendency to overpack and it's not fun when you are back packing and have to carry your own pack. You can always buy necessities once you are over there. Remember to take an extra collapsible bag to bring home your souvenirs! Here are some good packing lists that I have found:

If you forget something you will be able to replace it in any European city. As for places to go and things to do. London, Paris, Berlin (check out www.jbb7994.com) Munich (the Oktoberfest takes place during the last two weeks of September - find a website for the camp site near Munich zoo) Dresden, take time to visit the historic cities of Poland too.

What are you worried about ? I've been backpacking to Europe many times and important note for you are, Do not forget your passport, credit cards (minimum 2), clothing, simple toiletries and you are on the go. Enjoy.
