CAREFULLY. I always put on my eyeliners backwards, I start at the outer edge to get the thickness I want, then make one clean stroke from the inner edge out.

In front of a mirror, hold the outer corner of your eye and pull it taut. Start from the inner corner with the brush and make a clean sweep to the outercorner. Until you get used to it your line may be a little on the thick side. The more practice you have the thinner a line you can make. Practice does make perfect! I know. I have just started using liquid liner and I love it! My line is almost as thin as I want it. It just comes with patience, time and practice. If you don't like how the line turns out then you can use some makeup remover and take it off and try it again!

Well if you could use something other than liquid that would be best becuase it's soo messy!
What i do it put your pointer finger by the end of your eye and pull it so it's taught ( like the first answer) then VERY slowly apply the liquid, it gets easier the longer you've been doing it but just in case you mess up get a make-up wedge, ( that you use to apply foundation) and some eye make-up remover to clean up the little dribbles.

stand close to a mirror, hold the outer corner of your eye and pull it taut, and start from the inner corner with the brush and make a clean sweep to the outercorner. practice makes perfect, honestly! get makeup remover and try again and again. your hand and eyes will adapt to the coordination skills you need after a few days

Very carefully! LOL
I'm not sure I understand the question ... there's not too many ways you can apply liner.... have a steady hand and a light touch is the best answer I can give.

Hold the corner of your eye at a slant. Stand close the the mirror and make one sweep. If you get it in one try it usually looks more neat and clean. It does take practice, but soon you'll master it! :)

i put on the thinnest line possible right up against my upper lashes. then with a damp (almost dry) q-tip i smudge the line so it is softer.
