This is a BIOS code. Indicates a hardware problem. Count the number of blinks, and whether they may change colors (some use both red, green and yellow blinks). From another computer go to the manufacturer's website and look up the error codes for you PC model. It should tell you what hardware is the problem. May be something as simple are reseating the memory, or may need to be professionally served. The error code should tell you.

Hopefully you have made an Emergency StartUp Disk. With computer off, insert your disk and start your computer. Under Windows ME and up, you have the option of System Restore. Use a previous date when computer was working okay. System Restore is found under: Start / Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore. Do Not Have Any Windows Programs OPEN during the System Restore and Do Not open or close Anything during this operation. Computer will automatically restart when the Restore function is complete. Your Options are:
Shut down computer. Restart computer and exit into DOS mode. At the A: prompt, change to C:
At the C: prompt, type in "scanreg /fix" (without the " ")
Note there is a [space] between g and /
Computer will restart after completing command.
Shut down computer using normal, means,
Start / Shut Down. Wait a couple of minutes.
Restart computer. If it gives you an option screen to start in
Normal, Start without CD; Start with CD; Safe Mode,
chose Normal.
If the above does not fix your problem, click Start / Run / and type in " scanreg /restore" (without the " ") - chose a previous date from selections when computer was running okay.
